Barbara “Bob” Murphy Conaway, 68, of Milledgeville, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, in Milledgeville.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Henry Hardin and Mary Cummings Murphy.
Ms. Conaway was a school bus driver for Durham Bus System, she had been a school bus driver for 30 years and 9 months. She also had worked for Brown Shoe Company, Tri-Matic Springs, Adamsville Nursing Home, PCA and was owner of Morris Chapel Grocery. She was a member of The Sanctuary Milledgeville Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Doris Beckham and Mackie Brown, both of Savannah; and 14 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Morris Murphy.
Services were held on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jimmy Kelly officiating. Burial followed in the Morris Chapel Cemetery.
