Atwelldean Williams (1-19-11) services 1-21-11

Atwelldean Williams, 80, of Savnnah, died Wednesday, Jan. 19.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Frank and Addie Whitaker Williams. He was united in marriage to Marie Scott, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Williams was a self-employed logger and had also done some mechanic work.

Services were held on Friday, Jan. 21, at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Jimmy McGee, Rex Humphrey officiating. Burial was in the White’s Creek Cemetery at Hardin County.

He is survived by five daughters, Effie McFall, Cindy Benson, Connie Word, all of Savannah, Beverly Hunt and Linda Hunt, both of Adamsville; two sons, Ernest and Leon Williams, both of Savannah; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Williams; two sisters, Nadine and Ora Stricklin; a brother, O.C. Williams; two grandchildren.
