Alice Kay Fielder Alexander was born on April 10, 1948, to Hubert and Jo Hinton Fielder in Savannah.

Kay grew up in the Walkertown community and later made her home only steps away from her childhood home.  She passed away on Wednesday, July 25, after a lengthy illness.

Kay attended Central High School and was in the class of 1966.  On June 4, 1966 she married the love of her life, George Alexander. Kay loved her work and being in the school environment.  She was a lifelong member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she was actively involved. Kay enjoyed gardening, painting and shopping, but her greatest love was being with her family and enjoying her grandchildren.

Kay leaves behind her husband, George Alexander, two sons, Dr. Christopher Alexander (Mary Carol) of Lexington, Tennessee, and Greg Alexander (Allycin) of Jackson, Tennessee, one daughter, Wendy Peyton (Don) of Collierville, Tennessee, six grandchildren, Eli Alexander of Jackson, Tennessee, Paul Alexander of Knoxville, Kerr Alexander of Chattanooga, Tyler Peyton, of Collierville, Tennessee, and two granddaughters, Sophia Alexander Lewis (Adam) of Lexington, Tennessee, and Georgia Anne McCarter of Collierville, Tennessee, and one great-granddaughter, Hattie Rose Lewis of Lexington, Tennessee.
