Alan Lancaster Alan Craig Lancaster, 51, of Savannah, died Saturday, Sept. 17, at the VA Hospital in Memphis. He was born in St. Louis County, Mo., the son of Gordon L. and Gladys V. Kirby Lancaster. Mr. Lancaster was a veteran of the United States Army where he was with the 82nd Airborne. He was a member of Abundant Faith in Savannah, the Disabled American Veterans and was a member of the American Legion in Savannah. Services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Roger Vandiver officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Decatur County, Tenn. He is survived by two sons, Aaron Scott Lancaster of Spokane, Wash. and Derrick Lee Lancaster of Yakima, Wash.; one grandson; his father, Gordon L. Lancaster of Adamsville; his mother, Gladys V. Lancaster of Savannah; one sister, Angela March of Savannah. He was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Lee Lancaster.
