Alan W. Evans, of Savannah, departed this life on Monday, Aug. 27, at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 6 days.
He was born in Troy, New York, on June 21, 1948, the son of the late Walter and Betty Purnell Evans. On Dec. 14, 1991, he was united in marriage to Lynda Ennis, who survives.

rt-time at Lowe’s in Savannah and previously worked as an account executive for Dell Computer Corp. He was a member of Waypoint Community Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to his wife, Lynda of 27 years, he is survived by a daughter, Lesa McPherson and her husband Scott of Savannah; grandchildren, Melissa McPherson, Allyson McPherson, Brooklyn McPherson, Blake McPherson and Mason McPherson; and a sister, Nancy Johnson of Palm City, Florida.
Alan was a donor with Tennessee Donor Association of Nashville.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m., at Wayne Jerrolds River Park.
