Zula Smith

Zula Frances Myers Smith was born in Helena, Ark., on June 13, 1926, the daughter of the late James Lee and Rena Mae Martin Smith.

Ms. Smith was a retired LPN for Baptist Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Counce. Ms. Smith enjoyed sewing, loved animals and she was a good cook.

She departed this life on Sunday, Sept. 5, in Savannah, at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 23 days.

Ms. Smith is survived by one son, Joe H. Myers and his wife Karen of Selmer; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna Glover of Counce; and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Smith was also preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy and Bobby Myers; and one brother, James Lee Smith Jr.

Services were held on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Keith Driskell officiating. Burial was in the White Sulphur Cemetery at Pickwick Dam, Tenn.
