Wayne Simpson, 79, of Crump, passed away on Thursday, June 12, in Jackson, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert Earl and Mabel Guthrie Simpson.
He was united in marriage to Brenda Moore, who preceded her husband in death.
Wayne worked as a carpenter for Lawton Saw Mill.
He is survived by his stepson, Gil Gibbs; stepdaughter, Melinda Gibbs; and two grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence Simpson, Lawrence Simpson, Lucion Simpson, Carel Dean Simpson, Jack Simpson, and Melvin Simpson; and sisters, Magalene Whitehurst, Sue Borden, and Ollie Grace Borden.
A private interment was held at Crump Cemetery in Crump, Tennessee.
