Wana Mae Brown, 74, of Savannah, departed this life on Monday, Jan. 27. She was born on May 10, 1950, in Leapwood, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Millard and Dora Curry Brown.
Wana Mae enjoyed reading, playing bingo, going to church, and visiting with her family and friends. She loved her nurses and caretakers. She was a member of Mt. Vinson Methodist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee.
She is survived by her brothers, Bobby Brown (Kathy) of Finger, Tennessee, and William Brown of Selmer, Tennessee; sisters, Carolyn Southern and Linda Talley (Wayne), both of Savannah, Tennessee, Linnie Ruth Keistler of Jackson, Tennessee, Donna Springer of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Bernice Nash of Finger, Tennessee; uncle, James Robert Brown of Adamsville, Tennessee; seven nieces; 12 nephews; eight great-nieces; eight great-nephews; two great-great-nieces; and one great-great-nephew.
In addition to her parents, Wana Mae was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Brown; and sisters, Nettie Sue Brown and Mary Francis Butler.
Memorial services were held on Friday, Jan. 31, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Adamsville, Tennessee, with Daniel Holt officiating. Burial followed at Mars Hill Cemetery in Adamsville, Tennessee.
