Tina Baugus Melson, 63, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 26, she was born on Oct. 19, 1960, in Humbolt, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jimmie Raymond and Bobbie Dean Staggs Baugus.
On Dec. 22, 1977, she was united in marriage to Mike Melson, who survives.
Mrs. Melson worked as a homemaker and manager for Hickory Pit. She was a member of Crossroads Union Church in Savannah. Tina loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending any activity that involved her grandchildren; sports, plays, school lunches, etc. She also enjoyed cooking, singing, and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Melson of Savannah; son, Jimmie Melson and his wife Traci of Savannah; sisters, Debra Davis of Savannah, and Gail Edwards and her husband David of Waynesboro, Tennessee; brothers, Shannon Baugus and his wife Bridget of Collinwood, Tennessee, and Jerry Baugus and his wife Jonell of Waynesboro; and grandchildren, Aiden Melson, Langdan Melson, Rylan Melson, Marianna Melson, Maddan Melson, and Kaylie Mitchell, all of Savannah.
In addition to her parents, Tina was preceded in death by her sister, Melessa Mitchell.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Timmy Keen and Scott Melson officiating. Burial followed at Crossroads Union Cemetery in Savannah.
