Teddy Ray Handley

Teddy Ray Handley, 71, of Savannah, died Thursday, Oct. 28, in Savannah.

He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Arthur Jackson and Emma Susan Hartley Handley. He was united in marriage to Margaret Wood, who survives.

Mr. Handley was a member of the Eureka United Methodist Church. He was the owner and operator of the Atwood Market for 30 years. He served his country in the Army National Guard.

Services were held on Sunday, Oct. 31, at Eureka United Methodist Church in Savannah with Ron Jones officiating. Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery at Atwood, Tenn.

In addition to his wife, Margaret Handley of Savannah, he is survived by a daughter, Kathy Lynn Carroll of Savannah; two grandchildren; a sister, Patsy Gibbs of Savannah; and two brothers, Rex and Tommy Handley, both of Savannah.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Keith Ray-Wood Handley; two sisters, Thelma Boswell and Helen Bernice Greene; six brothers, Marvin, A. Jack Jr., Dan, Billy, Frank and Bobby Handley.
