T. Jean Shulze

T. Jean Shulze, 82, of Minot, N.D., was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, Sept. 18, following a brief illness.

Jean was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Adamsville, to Thomas B. and Icy L. (Hughes) Greer. She was raised and attended school in Adamsville.

She was once married to Jerold H. Olson, and to this union two daughters were born Deborah and Cindy.

Jean worked at Voeller’s Drapery several years ago. She was a wonderful seamstress who made beautiful heirloom quilts. She later worked at the Dutch Mill, Kelly’s Bottle Shop and the Starlite Lounge. Jean had a very strong work ethic, and she always made sure her children were taken care of.

She loved to garden and always had a weed-free, immaculate yard. In her younger days she enjoyed playing her Gibson guitar. For many years she was a caregiver for her dear friend Roy Walker.

Those who shared in Jean’s life, daughters, Deborah Anderson of Minot, N.D., and Cindy (Sean) Busick, Eagle Grove, Iowa; stepdaughter, Julie (Roger) Jackson, Drake, N.D.; grandchildren, Sarah Anderson, Angela (Travis) Griffin, Crystal Saugstad and her fiancé Chad Bechtold; step grandchildren, Heather (Roger) Meyer, Daniel (Xyn) Busek and Amanda Pine; great-grandchildren, Kylee and Elizabeth Griffin; step-great-grandchildren, Jade and Lexi Busek, Samantha, Ashley and Tommy Meyer.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Icy Greer; sister, Lucille Lewis and her brother, Billy Greer.

Funeral was Friday, Sept. 21, at 10:30 a.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, N.D. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, N.D.
