Ruby Jo Harmon (5-12-11) services 5-14-11

Ruby Jo Harmon, 95, of Savannah, died Thursday, May 12.

She was born in Lauderdale County, Ala., the daughter of the late Ruben and Jimmie Parker Webb.

Mrs. Harmon had worked for the Hardin County Board of Education as a cook. She had worked at Nixon and South Elementary for a combined 34 years. She was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ.

Services were held on Saturday, May 14, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Howard Rogers, Paul Briley officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

She is survived by two sons, T.J. Alexander of Savannah and Herman Webb of Holland, Mich.; a sister, Lorene Turnage of Decaturville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommy Alexander; second husband, Middleton Harmon; sister, Christine Harmon, a half-brother and a grandchild.
