Ruby Gray

Ruby Gray, 92, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Savannah.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Luther and Mary Hollingsworth Ferrell. She was united in marriage to Samuel Gilbert Gray, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Gray retired from Brown Shoe Company and was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church.

Services were held on Friday, Nov. 4, at New Life United Pentecostal Church in Savannah with Rev. Gerald Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Savannah Cemetery at Savannah.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Faye Walker of Johnsburg, Ill., Betty Jo Perry of Richmond, Ill.; two sons, Joe S. and Robert Lee Gray, both of Savannah; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille Hunt of Savannah and Mae Akers of Momence, Ill.

She was also preceded in death by three sons, Billy Mack, Bobby Royce and Donnie R. Gray; a brother, Frank Ferrell; and three sisters, Edna Lee Thompson, Jo Kate Overton, Maudie Ferrell.
