Rondal Braswell

Rondal Braswell, 73, of Savannah, died Saturday, April 9.

He was born in Portageville, Mo., the son of the late Marmy Moses and Nellie Mae Biggs Braswell. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Irene Hunt, who survives.

Mr. Braswell was a laborer for Aqua Glass before retiring. He had also been self-employed as a farmer and worked for Kincaid in Union City, Tenn.

Services were held on Monday, April 11, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Paul Hook officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie Braswell, he is survived by a son, Larry Rondal Braswell of Savannah; five daughters, Janice House of Fulton, Miss., Karla Appleton of Bernie, Mo., Pansy Helton of Iuka, Miss., Vicky Davis, Amy Umphrey, both of Savannah; two sisters, Jane Quick and Lois Davidson, both of Preston, Ky.; two brothers, Rev. David Braswell of St. Louis, Mo. and Rev. Ed Braswell of Bonne Terre, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Braswell Alexander and Vadis Braswell Jones; and a grandson.
