Richard Spry, 69, of Shiloh, departed this life on Sunday, October 5, in Savannah, Tennessee. He was born on November 22, 1955, in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late G.O. and Eliza Ann Anderson Spry. On June 21, 1980, he was united in marriage Rita Stanfill, who survives. Mr. Spry worked as a painter. He enjoyed gardening, watching westerns, and playing cards. Most of all, Richard loved his family. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and was known as the “protector” of his friends and family. Richard loved life and all the people in his life. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rita Spry of Shiloh, Tennessee; daughters, Lachelle Moss (Michael) of Milan, Tennessee and Eliza Page (Michael) of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Lee Spry of Savannah, Tennessee and Joe Spry of Opelousas, Louisiana; sisters, Patricia Wilkerson and Evelyn Spry, both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Laina Page and Claire Page; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Dill; and brothers, John Spry and Marshall Spry. No services to announce.
