Rhonda Conway Battles Rhonda Conway Battles was born in Hardin County, on Aug. 24, 1963, the daughter of the late Noel Warren and Emma Jane Boyd Conway. On July 21, 1995, she was united in marriage to Richard Allen Battles, who survives. Mrs. Battles worked for Walmart for 24-1/2 years as jewelry department manager. She also was a cosmetologist for four years at Walkertown Beauty Salon. Mrs. Battles was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, antique collecting, swimming and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Battles departed this life on Friday, Dec. 9, in Jackson, Tenn., at the age of 48 years, 3 months and 15 days. In addition to her husband Richard of Savannah, she is survived by one sister, Jona Conway Smith and her husband Jimmy of Savannah. Mrs. Battles is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, Conway Smith, Brandon Battles, Trey Gilliam, Dakota Brown, Devin McLin, John Smith and Jacob Smith; other special family members, Brenda Bain, Timmy Lineberry, Amy McLin, Jenifer Smith, Terry Carillo, Darlene Drayer, Steven Reynolds and Keith Conway. A graveside service was held on Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Memory Gardens in Savannah with Johnny Burns officiating.
