Ray Qualls

Ray E. Qualls, 75, of Iuka, Miss., formerly of Savannah, died Thursday, Oct. 21, in North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Miss.

He was the son of the late Grady and Muriel Duncan Qualls. He was united in marriage to the former Shirley Gray of Selmer.

Mr. Qualls was the former owner and operator of Ray’s Service Station on Hwy. 69 in Savannah. He had also worked with his father at the family-owned American Oil distributorship in Savannah.

Services were held Saturday, Oct. 23, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer with Randy Isbell officiating. Burial was in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens, Bethel Springs, Tenn. Arrangements by Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer.

In addition to his wife, Shirley Qualls, he is survived by a sister, Robbie Glover of Savannah.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, G.C. Qualls; and three sisters, Dorothy Thacker, Maxine Alexander and Ruth Hinton.
