Noma Lee Tyler, of Savannah, was born Dec. 6, 1925, in Cherokee, Ala., the daughter of the late John Dewey and Beatrice Ethel Gean Fowler.
On Aug. 31, 1946, she was united in marriage to Dennie Rayburn Tyler, who preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 2004.
Mrs. Tyler was employed by the Tennessee Valley Electric Cooperative in Savannah for 36 years. She began as a cashier and later became a consumer accountant.
Mrs. Tyler was raised in the Pentecostal faith and joined the Foursquare Church in Savannah. She eventually joined the Crump United Methodist Church in Crump. She enjoyed working with her flowers and she loved her family.
Mrs. Tyler departed this life on Thursday, July 3, in Corinth, Miss., at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 27 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Shiela Tyler Megginson and husband Richard of Saltillo, Miss.; her son John Everett Tyler and his wife Jane of Savannah; and grandchild, Zachary John Tyler.
Services were held on Sunday, July 6, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Randi Kirksey and Tony Polk officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
