Michael Ewoldt

Michael Cary Ewoldt was born in Alhambra, Calif., on Oct. 7, 1943, the son of the late Lee and Wanda Moore Ewoldt.

On Aug. 15, 1999, he was united in marriage to Anita Cardinalli, who survives.

Mr. Ewoldt had owned and operated Ewoldt’s Rod and Reel, Anita’s Catering, Savannah Cooks, and Uptown Restaurant. He had also been in real estate with Fox and Carskaden Real Estate and ReMax Resort Realty. He had served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Shriners.

Mr. Ewoldt departed this life on Tuesday, July 26, at the age of 67 years, 9 months, 19 days.

In addition to his wife, Anita, he is survived by a son, Norman Ewoldt of Savannah; a daughter, Michele Ewoldt Turner of Folsom, Calif.; a stepson, Brandon Griggs of Savannah; five grandchildren, Julia Aubrey Ewoldt, Peyton Lee Ewoldt, Victoria Turner, Nicky Turner, and Brooklyn Calle Griggs; a sister, Sharon Ewoldt Moore of Texas.

Memorial services were held on Sunday, July 31, at 2 p.m., at Uptown Restaurant in Savannah.
