Mary Jane Smith, 68, of Savannah, died on Friday, July 26.Â
She was born in Barbourville, Ky., the daughter of the late James and Rosie Price Brown. She was united in marriage to Franklin Allen Smith, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Pyburn Union Church.
Services were held on Monday, July 29, at 3 p.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Harry Nolen officiating. Burial followed in the Pyburn Cemetery at Savannah.
Memorial donations may be made to the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center.Â
She is survived by her sons, Vincent and Michael Smith both of Savannah; two step children, Judy Smith of Savannah, and Terry Smith of Missouri; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and two brothers Clyde and James Brown both of Kentucky.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daryl Allen Smith; sisters, Nancy Katherine Boehnke and Sue Johnson; and brothers, Chester, Lee, Eugene, Kenneth, and Claude Brown.
