Mary Qualls

Mary Qualls, 77, of Savannah, died Tuesday, June 15, at the Savannah Health Care Center.

She was born in Hollywood, Ala., the daughter of the late Avery and Hattie Vinson. She was united in marriage to William Henry Qualls, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Qualls was a homemaker. She attended Southside Baptist, Riverview and Church of the Redeemed.

Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Evergreen, Ill.

She is survived by four daughters, Portia Shannon of Crawfordsville, Ind., Mary Ann Sparks and Judy Salgado, both of Savannah, and Lisa F. Qualls of Chicago, Ill.; six sons, Bobby, Jimmy and Nathan H. Qualls, all of Savannah, Louis H. of Val-Rico, Fla. and Wyatt Earp and Jerry L. Qualls, both of Crawfordsville, Ind.; 40 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren; one sister, Salley Jane McCullor of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two brothers, Tom and Ottis Vinson, both of Chicago, Ill.

She was also preceded in death by one grandchild and five great-grandchildren.
