Mary Lou Hopper, 82, of Brentwood, died Monday, May 5.
She was a member of Concord Road Church of Christ for 42 years. She retired after 27 years with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture serving as secretary of the Food and Dairy Division.
She was preceded in death by parents, Johnnie William and Minnie V. Pearson Bridges; brothers, Vandell and Paul Bridges and a sister, Wilma Wells.
She was survived by daughters, Jeanie (Lynn) Moore and Vicki (Doug) Crosier and grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Moore and Christopher Douglas Moore.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 7, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with David Harper officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, May 8, at 11 a.m. at Milledgeville Cemetery in Milledgeville.
Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.

Georgia A. Smith, 88, of Edwardsville, Ill., passed away Thursday, April 24, at University Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edwardsville.
Georgia was born July 5, 1925, in Harrisburg, Ark., the daughter of the late Willis Thomas and Minnie Bell Smith. She was a long-time cashier at the Goshen Do It Center in Glen Carbon, Ill., for many years. Georgia enjoyed gardening in her free time and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by and will be missed by her nephews, Michael Smith and Vincent Smith, both of Savannah and niece Judith Smith of Savannah.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving companion, John Honchak; brothers, Frank, James, Alfred, Elmer and Alden Smith and great-nephew, Daryl Smith.
A private family burial will take place later in Savannah. Memorials are suggested to the Madison County Humane Society.
