Mable Forbus (1-20-19) service 1-22-19

Mable Forbus, 80, of Savannah, died on Sunday, Jan. 20, in Jackson, Tennessee.

She was born in Doddsville, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Charlie and Lorena Moore Staggs.

Ms. Mable was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Diane Robertson of Bartlett, Tennessee, Judy Stewart of Adamsville, Beth Russell of Bartlett, Tennessee; three sons, James Russell of San Antonio, Texas, Dewayne Russell of Adamsville, Mike Russell of Collierville, Tennessee; a sister, Marie Gatlin of Savannah; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Russell; and a brother, J.C. Staggs.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Christian Assembly Pentecostal Church in Adamsville with Phillip Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery at Adamsville with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer in charge of arrangements.
