Lou Ellen Rainey Lou Ellen Clement Rainey, 89, of Savannah, died Friday, Oct. 12, in Jackson, Tenn. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Jesse and Lovie Morton Clement. She was united in marriage to Adley Franklin Rainey, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Rainey was a seamstress for 20 years for H.I.S. Manufacturing. She was a member of Crossroads Union Church. Services were held on Sunday, Oct. 14, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with James Fitts, Johnny Burns officiating. Burial followed in the New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery at Savannah. She is survived by her children, Judith Deanna Smith, Dora Jeannette Nelson and Larry Joe Rainey, all of Savannah; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Inez McCasland and Joyce Davis, both of Savannah. She was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby Franklin Rainey Sr.; three sisters, Velma Clement Barlow, Belva Clement Harrison and Naomi Clement Whitten; and two brothers, J.C. and James (Clem) Clement.
