Larry Morgan Richardson, 65, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, at his residence in Savannah.
 He was born in Houston, Mississippi, son to Collene Banks Hamilton and the late Ezekiel Morgan Richardson.
Mr. Richardson served his country in the Coast Guard in Miami for four years. After that, he worked for the City of Savannah in general maintenance. During his lifetime, he was also employed with the Army Corps of Engineers from which he had been retired for 27 years. He also worked with Grover Williams. He was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ for most of his life, and had recently become a member of the First United Methodist Church in Savannah.
He worked with Boy Scouts and was an Eagle Scout himself. He was an active member of  Dreamweavers of West Tennessee–a community performing arts theater group. He was a member of the Savannah Art Guild and also helped to design the Hardin County Library. He was a part of the Savannah Arts Commission, Hardin County Jesus Cares, Lions Club, Shriners, Masonic Lodge, Hardin County Fair Board, Civil Air Patrol and the Hardin County Library Board.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Raina Richardson and Morgan Richardson of Savannah; siblings, Ron Richardson of Louisville, Kentucky, Fran Richardson, Janet Carroll and Terry Richardson, all of Columbia, Tennessee; and one grandchild.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joy Carroll.
The family has requested memorial donations be made to Hardin County Jesus Cares, 160 Laden Lane, Savannah, Tennessee 38372. 
Services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Creed McGinley officiating.
