Larry Parson Larry Gene Parson, 66, of Michie, died Thursday, Oct 21, at Magnolia Regional Healthcare, Corinth, Miss. He was the son of the late H.L. and Lola McGee Parson. He was united in marriage to the former Anna Joyce Franks, who survives. Mr. Parson and his sons owned Parson Logging in Michie. He served his country in the U.S. Army and the Tennessee National Guard. Services were held Saturday, Oct. 23, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Acton, Acton, Tenn., with Keith Driskell and Tim Nall officiating. Burial was in Valley of the Dogwood Cemetery, Corinth, Miss. Arrangements by Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer. In addition to his wife, Anna Parson of Michie, he is survived by a daughter, Emily Parson of Counce; two sons, Larry of Michie and Grant Parson of Guys, Tenn.; a sister, Brenda Counce of Michie; three brothers, Douglas, Lanny and Neil Parson, all of Michie; and six grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Marolt; and a brother, Charles Don Parson.
