Julian “Red” McClelland, 58, of Savannah, died on Friday, March 30, in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born in Tampa, Florida, the son of the late Eleanor Delores Hartley and Cecil Eugene McClelland. He was united in marriage to Sandra Ann Ward, who survives.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1977 to 1984. After leaving the service, he worked in construction doing road work.
In addition to his wife, Sandra McClelland, he is survived by his children, Allen Michael McClelland, Harrold Eugene “Gene” McClelland and Heather Marie Evans, all of Missouri, Joanna Garner and Gerry Born of Savannah, Bethina Leann Garner of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Henry Roosevelt Arnold, Melissa Childers and Pamela Lee Dugger, all of Savannah; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, William McClelland and Chris McClelland, both of Tracy, California; and two sisters, Linda Dianne McClelland of Denver, Colorado and Janet Lynn Colding of Lake Wales, Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy McClelland and DeeDee Schliesmann.
Services were held on Friday, April 6, at 11 a.m., at River Heights Pentecostal Church in Crump with Michael Gibbs officiating. Burial followed in River Heights Pentecostal Church at Crump.
