Juanita Virginia Winters Fry, 88, of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Savannah Healthcare, the daughter of the late Andrew and Myrtle Winters.
She was united in marriage to James Edward Fry, who preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Fry worked mainly as a housewife, taking care of her children and her home. She was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir.
She is survived by her children, Virginia Fry, Irish Fry, Boris Fry, Valerie Burge, Norris Williams, Gregory Williams, Melody Fryson, Stacy Williams, Selassie Fry; and a bonus son, Kenneth Youngblood; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by her four brothers, Truman Winters, Hillard Winters, Alex Young, and William Winters; three sisters, Lucy Winters, Albanie Word, and Mattie Mae Jackson; and one granddaughter, Shrondia Fry.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, Jan. 26, at Saint Mark Baptist Church in Savannah, with Lancey Robinson officiating.
