Joseph Hardin Meadows, 84, of Savannah, Georgia, formerly of the Olive Hill community of Hardin County, passed away on Monday, November 10, the son of the late Evelyn Hardin Meadows and David Preston Meadows.
He was united in marriage to Donna Carr Meadows, who survives. Mr. Meadows honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.
Joe attended Bethel College and earned master’s degrees from the University of Georgia and The University of North Georgia. He was a teacher in the Hall County School system in Gainesville, Georgia, for many years, teaching at South Hall Middle School and Johnson High School until retirement.
Joe was a long-time member of Oakwood First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother; Earl Meadows.
He is survived by his wife Donna Carr Meadows; and his son, Andy Meadows.
Memorial services will be held at Oakwood First United Methodist Church, 4315 Allen St., Oakwood , Georgia, 30566, on Friday, December 5, at 12:30 p.m.
