Joey Fox Joey Douglas Fox, 50, of Savannah, died Sunday, April 10. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Cecil Alexander and Lou Jean Higgins Fox. Mr. Fox was a lifelong member of the Walnut Grove Community and had worked for JB Smith Logging Company. Services were held on Tuesday, April 12, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with David Dowdy, Keaton Franks, Jimmy McGee officiating. Burial was in the Hollands Creek Cemetery at Hardin County. He is survived by a son, Jason Alexander Fox of Savannah; a daughter, Britney Nicole Fox of Stantonville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy and Ricky Fox, both of Savannah; four sisters, Joyce Scott, Jane Jones, Jackie Davison, all of Savannah, and Judy Balentine of Cypress Inn, Tenn. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Boatwright; and two brothers, Rayburn and Hassell Fox.
