Joe Hendrix Joe Don Hendrix, 79, of Counce, died Friday, March 2, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was the son of the late Charlie Wolf Hendrix and Ida Avis Collins Hendrix. He was united in marriage to Allene Hoopes Hendrix, who survives. Mr. Hendrix was a shift supervisor for many years. He worked for Union Camp, PCA in Counce, Orr Felt and retired from GA Pacific in New Augusta, Miss. He was a member of Pickwick United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife Allene of Counce, he is survived by children, Elizabeth Ann Merrick of Biloxi, Miss., Jody Hendrix of Denver, Colo., and Kimberly Jo Hendrix of The Ghost Town of Damon, Tenn.; a grandson; two sisters, Margaret Landrum of Savannah, Ga. and Ann Craig Hendrix of Metter, Ga. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Ross; and brothers, Buford, E.G., Walter, Grady, Dan and Alton Hendrix. Graveside service and burial at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Shiloh on Saturday, March 3, at 3 p.m., with Rev. J. Keith Wright.
