Jimmy Mitchell

Jimmy Allen Mitchell, 82, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus Hardin Mitchell and Mary Marine Willis Mitchell.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Gale Mitchell, with whom he shared over 57 years of marriage; daughters, Christie Mitchell Patton and Cynthia Mitchell Hughes; and four grandchildren.
A faithful member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Jimmy served as a former elder. He gave back to his community as a former Hardin County School Board member.
Jimmy dedicated more than 40 years of his life to working at the PCA.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, January 31, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Helen Hamilton officiating. Burial followed at Neill Cemetery in Savannah.
