Jerry Carter (5-5-15) service 5-9-15

Jerry Carter, 78, of Saltillo, died Tuesday, May 5.
He was born in Savannah,  son of the late Albert Franklin and Ruby Estel Butler Carter. He was united in marriage to Norma Gene Garrett, who survives.
Mr. Carter was a truck driver and drove for Roadway Express for 25 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his wife Norma of Saltillo, he is survived by his daughter, Stacy Y. Sheffield of Arlington, Tennessee; one grandson; and a sister, Margie Duren of Crump.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Thomison.  
Services were held on Saturday, May 9, at Saltillo United Methodist Church with Tim Sheffield officiating. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery of Saltillo.
