Jeannie Jones Jeannie Jones, 88, of Savannah, died Sunday, Aug. 22. She was born in Scranton, Penn., the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Antonette Domzalska Slawski. She was united in marriage to Reginald Wilson Jones, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Jones was a school teacher for at Tangelo Park Elementary in Orlando, Fla. before she retired. She was a member of the Polish National Alliance, Lions Club Rotary and the American Legion of Eau Gallie, Fla., Florida Congress of Parents and Teachers, St. James Cathedral and St. Nicholas Catholic Church of Orlando, Fla. Memorial services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Glen Miller officiating. She is survived by a son, Robert William Jones of Savannah; a daughter, Kathryn Jean Watson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two grandchildren; and a brother, Alexander Bernard Slawski. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Josephine A. Slawski; three brothers, Henry P., Joseph P. and Stephen S. Slawski.
