James S Harville, 80, of Adamsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, in Adamsville.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Homer Franklin and Voneto Turner Harville. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Faye Landreth, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Harville was a pipe fitter and worked for the Grinnell Corporation in Henderson, Tennessee before he retired, and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Adamsville.
He is survived by a son, Terry Harville of Lexington, Tennessee; a daughter, Loretta Harville of Nashville; two stepdaughters, Wanda Johnson of Adamsville and Glenda Cromwell of Adamsville; a brother, Jerry Harville of Adamsville; five sisters, Jo Campion of Selmer, Frankie Hall of Adamsville, Maggie Hill of Adamsville, Lena Cook of Adamsville, Ruth Murray of Bethel Springs; three grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Moore; and two brothers, Carl Harville and Webster Harville.
Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Billy Joe Stewart officiating. Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery at Adamsville.
