James Abrams
James “Jimmy” Harding Abrams, 82, of Savannah, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, the son of Frankie Stricklin Abrams and T.R. Abrams.
He was united in marriage with Rachel Lindsey Abrams, who survives.
Jimmy was a lifelong, dedicated farmer and a Forestry Service retiree. He served on the Board of Wayne County Farm Bureau and the Wayne County School Board, and he was a member of the Masons/Eastern Star. Jimmy was also a member of Savannah Church of Christ in Savannah.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Rachel Abrams; sons, Sandy Abrams and Randy Abrams; and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, David Lindley Abrams.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital
Memorial services were held on Monday, April 7, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Collinwood, with Dustin Perkins officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Collinwood, Tennessee.
