HCMS shooting team shines in competition

The Hardin County Middle School team, Hitmen, finished as Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target Program state runner-up on June 21 in a hard -fought battle that was decided by only a single bird.
In Individual SCTP State Tournament action, Macy Carman was crowned Lady State Champion in Trap (96/100) after an intense shoot-off (24/25) the same day and finished third in Sporting Clays on June 20.
In men’s action, Ethan Miller shot a 97/100 and found himself in a four-way shoot-off for third place under the lights. Miller finished fourth with a 24/25 in the shoot-off, beating two shooters and falling to the third place finisher.
