It’s time for a week of livestock shows, exhibits, carnival rides and much more.
The Hardin County Agricultural Fair kicks off Monday, Sept. 20, at the county fairgrounds at 665 Clifton Road in Savannah. Rides begin daily at 6 p.m. with the exception of Saturday, when rides start at 2 p.m.
With the theme “There’s No Place Like Home,” the fair has one admission price. Admission includes access to arena events, exhibits and carnival rides. It excludes food and carnival games.
“It’s going to be a big year at the fair,” said Keith Franks, Hardin County Agricultural Fair Board president. “We look forward to seeing you and your family.”
Monday night, the fair opens with beauty pageants starting at 6:30. Additional beauty pageants will be held on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday night, special events include “A Band of Jones” in concert from 7-9 p.m.
On Wednesday, watch Southern Supercross Junk Car Jump & Run at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, starting at 7 p.m., features Calvary Rodeo, with mutton busting at 6 p.m.
Friday night’s event, USA Pullers Truck & Tractor Pull, starts at 7.
Saturday’s entertainment features Tim Smith from the Discovery channel show, Moonshiners, as special guest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Also on Saturday, Little Tykes Demolition Derby is at 6 p.m. followed by Demolition Derby Full Size at 7 p.m.
