Ginger Marie Rinks Young, 68, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, February 1, at Hardin Medical Center, surrounded by the love of her family, the daughter of the late Raymond Rinks and Lucy Pauline Melson Tucker.
She was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1975. Ginger was a devoted member of Love and Truth Church in Savannah.
Ginger is survived by her daughter, Lucy Morgan Gayner; her sisters, Denice Barfield, Melody Scott, and Audra Teague; one grandchild, and her former husband, Earl Young.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Oscar and Marie Melson.
A service celebrating Ginger’s life will be held today, Thursday, February 5, at Love and Truth Church, 2425 Pickwick St., Savannah. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and funeral service will follow. Service will be officiated by Paster AJ Fowler and Dr. Jeff LaBorg. She will be laid to rest at Hardin Memory Gardens in Savannah.
