Ethel Irvin Ethel Mae Irvin, 82, died Thursday, Feb. 25, in Jackson, Tenn. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Robert White and Rosie Thornton White. She was united in marriage to Thomas Irvin Jr., who survives. Mrs. Irvin worked at many different jobs during her life. She was a member of the Love Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Savannah, where she served as president of the choir. Services were held on Monday, March 1, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Charles Daniels officiating. Burial was in the Shelby Cemetery at Savannah. In addition to her husband Thomas Irvin Jr. of Savannah, she is survived by two sons, Edwin C. Irvin of Savannah, Joel V. Irvin of Savannah; a sister, Bobbie Jean Thompson of Savannah; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry V. Irvin; and a brother, Henderson Hawkins Sr.
