Douglas James Harcrow

Douglas James Harcrow, 52, of Savannah, passed away Tuesday, April 24, at Jackson General Hospital, in Jackson, Tenn.

He was born June 6, 1959, in Buffalo, N.Y. and resided in Goshen, Ind., attended school at St. Colletta’s, in Jefferson, Wis.

Doug was greatly loved and survived by his mother, Sandra Harcrow; sister, Lynn Marie Harcrow, Waterville, Ohio; brother, Lloyd John Harcrow of Portland, Ore.; nephews, Jeffrey and John Alheim.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Eugene Harcrow; and sister, Diane Kathryn Harcrow.

He will be missed by many family and friends that he cherished and enjoyed. Doug loved all people at his own group home, Hardin County Skills Center, Savannah. He had special love for his caretakers who showed him kind and loving care in return. He never forgot a person he encountered. He was always grateful and appreciated any thoughtfulness shown to him. Doug loved his records and especially trains. Everyone loved Doug. May you rest in peace.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 29, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, in Memphis. The family requests that memorials be sent to Special Kids, 2965 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133 in Doug’s memory.
