Dorcus Cherry

Dorcus Chelsea Cherry “Love,” 67, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, March 16.
She was a member of Graham Chapel, CME Church since an early age and remained a member until her death.
Dorcus was preceded in death by her devoted mother, Fannie Cherry; and both grandparents, Monroe E. and Dorothy Cherry.
Dorcus graduated from Savannah Central High School and went on to attend and graduate from Austin Peay University with a degree in Business Administration.
She worked for the US Department of Fish and Wildlife Atlanta, Georgia, before retiring in 2020.
Memorial services were on Saturday, March 22, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Pastor Barbara McBride and Rev. Gallian Fulton officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah, Tennessee.
