Dean Glidewell Dean Glidewell, 74, died Saturday, Aug. 7, in Nashville. He was born in McNairy County, the son of the late Jim and Patie Smith Glidewell. He was united in marriage to Treva Meek, who survives. Mr. Glidewell retired from Pickwick Electric in Selmer after 24 years of service as a right-of-way maintenance worker, and was a member of the Stantonville Methodist Church. He also served on the Pickwick Electric Board of Directors for approximately 12 years. Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer with Zolon Clayton, David Harston officiating. Burial was in Stantonviile Cemetery. In addition to his wife, Treva Glidewell of Adamsville, he is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Chambers of Adamsville; two sons, Steve of Greenbrier, Tenn. and Joey Glidewell of Adamsville; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Jones of Selmer; a brother, James Glidewell of Crump.
