Danny Cass was born in Hardin County, on Sept. 9, 1942, the son of the late Raymond and Cora Talley Cass.
Mr. Cass served his country in the United States Navy. He was retired self-employed diesel mechanic. Mr. Cass was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Savannah. He enjoyed NASCAR, antique cars, hot rods and racing of all types.
Mr. Cass departed this life on Thursday, June 13, in Savannah, at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 4 days.
He is survived by his children, Michelle Wilbanks of Selmer and Danny Cass Jr. of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren, Corey Cagle and his wife Amber, Kaylee Cass, Freedom Cass and Ashley Cass; two sisters, Nancy Neill of Savannah and Mary Rose of Ashland City, Tenn.; one brother, Mike Cass and his wife Fadra of Counce.
He also leaves behind his beloved companion and dear friend of 32 years, Brenda Jerrolds of Savannah, her son, Lane Jerrolds, and her two grandchildren, Ryan Jerrolds and Hannah Jerrolds.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Tommy Cass.
Services were held on Monday, June 17, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Paul Weaver, Benny Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
