Chris Barrier

Chris Barrier entered into eternal peace on Friday, June 8, at the age 43 years, 1 month, 24 days.

He was born in Hardin County, on April 15, 1969, to Ellen Estelle Lewis Barrier and the late Grady Joe Barrier.

Chris earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finances. Chris worked at Wal-Mart in Shelbyville, Tenn., as a shift manager for the last 18 years. Family and friends were Chris’s passion and delight. He enjoyed artwork, decorating and cooking. Chris lived in Shelbyville, Tenn. for six years, Fayetteville, Tenn. for eight years and Hardin County for 29 years. He was a member of Second Creek Church of Christ here in Savannah.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his three sisters, Regina Brumley and her husband Eddie, and Paige Barrier Moore, all of Savannah, Kelli Lovelace and her husband Stacy of Iron City, Tenn.; two nieces, Kayla Brumley and Lily Lovelace; two nephews, Colton Brumley and Landon Lovelace and a host of friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Grady Joe Barrier; and a sister Amy Leigh Barrier.

Services were held on Sunday, June 15, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Jim Martin and David Rushlow officiating.
