Carl Ford

Carl F. Ford, 68, of Savannah, died Thursday, Nov. 4, in Savannah.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late John Lon and Martha Connie Stricklin Ford. He was united in marriage to Josephine McFall, who survives.

Mr. Ford was a self-employed logger and farmer. He was a member of Beef Master Association.

Services were held on Sunday, Nov. 7, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with J.P. Gillis, Jimmy McGee officiating. Burial was in the Ford Family Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to his wife, Josephine of Savannah, he is survived by two daughters, Regina Eldridge of Dayton, Ohio and Christi Tate of Memphis; three grandchildren; three sisters, Romie Hall of Lutts, Sue Dodd of Savannah and Naomi Pfeffer of Toano, Va.; four brothers, Vernon, Hurbert and J.P. Ford, all of Savannah, and Henry Ford of New Carlisle, Ind.

He was also preceded in death by five sisters, Lizzie Vernet Qualls, Lillie Henson, Mary Scott, Fannie Tabscott and Murtle Ford; and three brothers, Robert, William and John Ford.
