Buck Robinson

Burnis "Buck" Robinson, 93, of Savannah, died Sunday, April 22.

He was born in Hardin County,the son of the late William Richard and Maggie Hudson Robinson. He was united in marriage to Betty Vaughn, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Robinson retired from Owen Savannah Soybean Company, after being with the company for 50 years. He was a Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Corinth, Miss., a member of the Henderson Elks Lodge 2459 in Henderson, Tenn., and a US Navy Veteran. He was a life member of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple, Caruthersville, Mo. Masonic Lodge 461, VFW, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1918 in Savannah.

A graveside service was held on Monday, April 23, at the Memory Gardens in Savannah with Tony Polk, Wayne Thompson officiating.

He is survived by a daughter Nancy Jean Bright of Savannah; a son, Jerry "Butch" Robinson of Savannah, Tennessee; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Bill Robinson; a daughter, Peggy Lee Taylor; three grandsons; a brother, Barney Robinson; a stepsister, Sue Zimmanck.
