Bonnie Heckle (12-4-12) service 12-8-12

Bonnie Heckle, 86, of Chesapeake, Va., died on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Wylie Richard and Ida Ethel Godwin Hurst. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Heckle, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Heckle had worked for 30 years at Bell South/AT&T as a supervisor and trainer. She was a member of First Christian Church and attended Robertson Chapel Methodist Church in Savannah.

Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jason Estes officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Hardin County.

She is survived by her sister, Ida Mae Hurst Alexander of Chesapeake, Va.; stepdaughter, Diane Lemaire of Louisiana; two nieces and a nephew.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Reed; and brother, John Daniel Hurst.
