Posted

Bobby Hunt, 65, of Savannah, departed this life on Thursday, June 26. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of Murl Moser Hunt-Reed and the late Edward Walker Hunt.
On October 9, 1992, he was united in marriage to Vicki Pickens, who survives.
Mr. Hunt was the sole owner of Hunt Masonry and worked as a brick/block mason. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, dad, and poppaw. A man that loved his mom, wife, daughters, and especially his grandsons. He was an extremely hard working man that loved to stay busy and he played hard. He loved to fish when he could, spent a few years enjoying coon hunting, and was a certified diver. He loved our Tennessee River and dark diving to find treasures. His work was laying brick and blocks, but he also liked working with wood when he had time to. He was a man of many talents and had a funny sense of humor. He secretly loved hosting pool parties for family and friends. Bobby loved his girls but his absolute joy was spending time with his grandsons.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Hunt of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Andria Hunt and Miranda Abel (Tyler), both of Savannah, Tennessee; mother, Murl Hunt-Reed of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Brenda Qualls (James) and Sandra Herndon (Dicky), both of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, James Hunt (Donna) and Paul Hunt, both of Savannah, Tennessee; and grandsons, Walker Yerby, Kaden Taylor, and Wade Taylor, all of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his father, Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed Hunt, Stella Hunt, Charlie Moser, and Ella Moser.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, July 2, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, Tennessee, with Bobby Pickens officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah, Tennessee.
