Bobby Joe Grisham, 83, of Morris Chapel, died on Sunday, June 3, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, Tennessee.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Lemual and Amanda Grisham. He was united in marriage to Montez Weaver, who survives.

Mr. Grisham moved to Peoria, Illinois with his bride in 1954 where he worked sheet metal until he retired in 1978. He then moved his family back to Morris Chapel. He worked for Tom Bigby Waterway until it was completed and Yellow Creek Nuclear Plant operating heavy machinery. In 1985, he started work at Aqua Glass and retired in 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Montez Grisham; one son, Trace Grisham of Milledgeville; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Long of Sunnyland, Illinois; and one brother, Jimmy Grisham of Morris Chapel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Lois Chalk, Dovie Beckham, Demova Gibbs and Katie Jordan; and four brothers, Roy, Lendon, Dendon and JR Grisham.

Services were held on Wednesday, June 6, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Lloyd Blankenship and Gene Hanna officiating. Burial followed in Milledgeville Cemetery.
